Richard Starte - International Sales Manager
“Richard Starte, our International Sales Manager, studied languages, then worked in various export sales & marketing positions in consumer chemicals and plastics from bases in London, Barcelona, Paris & Johannesburg. Since 1990, he has concentrated on food-contact disposables, selling from East Anglia into Europe & the Middle East, plus some specialised projects in Africa and the USA.
Richard thinks the coffee business momentum is ‘virtually unstoppable’, growing in every social environment, particularly in Arabic, Indian and Chinese cultures, where alcohol is not always appropriate, welcome or even legal! “Anywhere, where more than a dozen people are gathered, filter coffee is the obvious commercial choice, people cannot wait for espresso, delicious as it is. So, at least drink decently filtered coffee through good quality filter papers!”
Richard lives with Diana in a village between Cambridge and Newmarket, has 2 grown-up daughters and enjoys renovating his 1852 chateau in Normandy. |
